JAKARTA - Minister of Cooperation and SMEs Teten Masduki asked cooperations that are under the supervision of the task force (satgas) for handling problematic cooperation to comply with the decision to postpone the obligation to pay debts (PKPU).
This was conveyed by Teten when meeting with several members of the KSPSB who were disappointed because the KSPSB management had not complied with the PKPU decision.
"I conveyed to them that the KSPSB management had no good intentions to implement the PKPU decision, there were even indications that they wanted to transfer it to a third party," Teten said as quoted by Antara, Thursday, May 19.

In terms of dealing with problematic cooperative cases, explained Teten, the Ministry of cooperations and SMEs has limited authority.
Teten suggested that KSPSB members hold an Extraordinary Annual Member Meeting (RAT) to appoint new management and take over all the assets of the cooperative which were controlled by the old management. This is to fulfill the cooperative's obligations to members.
Currently, he said, the Supreme Court's decision regarding PKPU did not appoint new management for problematic KSPs, but instead handed over to the old management who had failed.
"We have studied the assets at the Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Center (PPATK), and these are actually controlled by the management, not being cooperative assets," said Teten.
Some time ago, the Ministry of cooperations and SMEs was said to have discussed eight problematic cooperations with the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal, and Security Affairs so that legal action would be taken against the management of problematic cooperations that did not implement the PKPU decision.
"Currently, the priority of the Troubled cooperations Handling Task Force is to resolve eight problematic cooperations, which are in the process of homologation/peace agreement after PKPU," he said in an official statement.
The eight cooperations are KSPSB, KSP Indosurya, KSP Pracico Inti Sejahtera, KSP Lima Garuda, and KSP Timur Pratama Indonesia.
