PDIP Politician Masinton Pasaribu Sindir Erick Thohir Often Campaigns, Stafsus: There's No Problem With The Electability Of Presidential And Vice Presidential Candidates

JAKARTA - The Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) has raised its voice regarding the statement of PDIP politician Masinton Pasaribu who said that state-owned companies are currently like political parties (Parpol). This is because the Minister of SOEs, Erick Thohir, is seen as often campaigning and posting pictures of himself everywhere. One of them is at the Himbara Bank ATM.

Special Staff to the Minister of SOEs Arya Sinulingga said that the photo of Erick Thohir on the Himbara Bank ATM machine was old. He said the purpose of displaying Erick Thohir's photo was to campaign for the Morals program which is an acronym for Amanah, Competent, Harmonious, Loyal, Adaptive and Collaborative.

Furthermore, Arya admitted that he did not care about the words of the PDI-Struggle politician. He also guaranteed that the pictures on display had no effect on increasing Erick's electability to become a candidate for president or vice president in 2024.

"Masinton as a political person knows that. So it doesn't matter, if ATMs have been around for a very long time since morality has existed, unless they have just been made. This has nothing to do with. Masinton knows very well that photos don't affect electability," Arya told reporters, Tuesday, 17 May.

Currently, said Arya, Erick is focusing on fixing the state-owned enterprises' business so that the program can be felt by the lower class. In addition, Erick also continues to transform in the BUMN body.

Furthermore, Arya explained that if you find many photos of Erick Thohir everywhere, this is because Erick oversees the ministry which has many companies ranging from banking, electricity to transportation. Therefore, do not be surprised if the photo is easy to find.

"So Mr. Erick Thohir only focuses on work. If there is a minister down to the level that is prohibited, we are happy. If there are many, what can you do, because there are many SOEs," he said.

In addition, Arya also ensured that Erick would continue to visit various regions to control and socialize BUMN programs directly to the public. One of them is regarding the distribution of people's cooking oil or People's Migor carried out by the Food BUMN Holding.

"Later, when he talked about bulk oil, he came down and then he said again what kind of imaging, he must have checked. It's impossible not to check," he explained.
