Held Rp14,000 People's Migor Program To 10,000 Points, Trade Minister Lutfi Ensures No Cooking Oil Subsidy For Entrepreneurs

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Trade and the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises synergize with cooking oil business players to launch the Migor Rakyat program. Currently there are 1,200 Migor Rakyat program locations and in the near future there will be 10,000 throughout Indonesia.

The Migor Rakyat program was launched with the aim that the sale of bulk cooking oil at a price of Rp. 14,000 per liter can be right on target.

Trade Minister Muhammad Lutfi said this program is a form of concern for cooking oil entrepreneurs for the people. Fully run through business processes between cooking oil distributors and retailers or small business actors.

"There is no cooking oil subsidy for entrepreneurs and in time it will be a breakthrough for a new business model," he said in an official statement, Tuesday, May 17.

Meanwhile, Director General of Domestic Trade, Oke Nurwan, explained that the Migor Rakyat program emphasizes direct retail transactions to beneficiaries, namely low-income groups.

The implementation is carried out by cooking oil business actors using digital application technology to ensure bulk bulk migration of IDR 14,000 per liter is right on target. Retailers will sell to the public as much as 1 or 2 liters per day based on an identity card or KTP.

Oke said that the list of sales locations or selling points for the Migor Rakyat program using the Gurih Indomarko platform and Warung Pangan ID FOOD can be accessed by anyone.

"Currently there are 1,200 locations spread across five provinces, namely DKI Jakarta, West Java, Banten, East Java, North Sumatra and North Sulawesi. In the near future, the number will be 10,000 locations throughout Indonesia," he said.
