The People Of Southeast Sulawesi Will Be "washed" With 100 Tons Of Bulk Cooking Oil, Prioritized For SMEs

JAKARTA - Good news for the people of Southeast Sulawesi. This is because the local government will bring in 100 tons of bulk cooking oil

This was conveyed by the Head of the Southeast Sulawesi Industry and Trade Office, Sitti Shaleha. He said the bulk cooking oil would be sold to people in all regencies/cities.

"The cooking oil will be sold to the public in accordance with the highest retail price (HET) that has been set by the government, which is Rp. 14 to Rp. 15 thousand per liter," he said.

He explained that the bulk cooking oil would be prioritized for micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs).

He ensured that the distribution of bulk cooking oil could be right on target. His party has asked for real data on potential recipients of cooking oil from the Disperindag in districts/cities as well as cooking oil distributors in Southeast Sulawesi.

"There will also be a food task force that will monitor it. God willing, there will be no misuse such as hoarding and price games," he said.

He added that many steps had been taken in dealing with the recent shortage of cooking oil. The provincial government cooperates with other parties, including promoting the manufacture of coconut-based traditional cooking oil, as well as holding a cheap market.

"This step reduces people's dependence on cooking oil," he said.
