Ahead Of Eid, The Prices Of Basic Necessities In Mamuju Are Starting To Rise

MAMUJU - The price of basic necessities in Mamuju Regency, West Sulawesi Province has increased ahead of Eid Al-Fitr 1443 Hijriah.

"The government in Mamuju is monitoring the prices of basic necessities in a number of markets in Mamuju City, it is confirmed that there has been an increase in prices ahead of Lebaran," said Mamuju Regent Sutinah Suhardi in Mamuju, as reported by Antara, Friday, April 29.

Even though there is an increase in basic needs, the increase is still considered reasonable and will be reached by the people of Mamuju.

"The price increase is still within reasonable limits, due to the high demand for basic necessities ahead of Eid," he said.

He said the government would continue to monitor the prices of basic necessities on the market so that the prices of basic necessities remain affordable for the community ahead of Eid.

"Stocks of basic necessities and food items for traders are still quite available and relatively safe, and the community's needs will be met for this Eid," he said.

He hopes that traders will not take profit ahead of this Eid which can burden the community and the government will continue to monitor it.

"Traders should not increase prices beyond reasonable limits because the government will continue to monitor them by taking appropriate actions according to the applicable regulations," he said. white from Rp. 28 thousand/kg to Rp. 30 thousand/kg.

Meanwhile, for a number of other basic necessities, the price remained stable, namely peanuts at Rp. 32 thousand per kg, chilies at Rp. 35 thousand per kg, while large red chilies fell from Rp. 45 thousand/kg to Rp. 40 thousand/kg.
