Disbursing IDR 47.4 Billion, PLN Accelerates Completion Of Electricity Infrastructure In Bali Ahead Of The G20 Summit

JAKARTA - PT PLN (Persero) has succeeded in accelerating the completion of the 150 kilo Volt (kV) High Voltage Air Line (SUTT) transmission line in Bali. The existence of this electricity infrastructure strengthens the reliability of the Bali system in supporting the G20 Presidency Summit in November 2022.

General Manager of PLN's Eastern Java and Bali Transmission Main Unit (UIT JBM) Didik F. Dakhlan said that PLN succeeded in completing line 2 with the Ship - Tanah Lot - Antosari route along the 46.64 kilometer circuit (kms) in 17 days, much faster. than originally planned for 33 days. Previously, PLN had completed the increase in conductor capacity (reconducting) on line 1 at the end of last month.

"Not only to support the G20 event, this infrastructure optimization is also carried out to increase customer satisfaction," he explained in a statement received by VOI, Saturday, April 23.

Completion of line 2 Then continued with the provision of voltage to the conductor on April 13, 2022. For the work of reconducting these two lines, continued Didik, PLN has allocated a budget of Rp 47.4 billion.

In this reconducting work, PLN increased the voltage current from 2 x 645 Ampere to 2 x 1,285 Ampere. So that the load that can be carried on the conductor increases.

"Every personnel who do the work already has a certificate of special competence, so that the work goes according to procedure," he said.

In addition to improving network optimization, PLN will also improve transformer maintenance, replacement of tower materials and backfilling of tower defenses so that electricity distribution is more reliable.

"It is hoped that the reliability of the electricity system in Bali and its surroundings can be maintained and avoid interference both internally and externally so that the continuity of electricity distribution to customers can run optimally," said Didik.
