JAKARTA - PT PLN (Persero) recorded that 1,124 tons of waste from coal combustion or Fly Ash Bottom Ash (FABA) had been utilized in the process of developing several infrastructures in West Nusa Tenggara (NTB).
General Manager of the PLN Main Unit for the West Nusa Tenggara Region (UIW NTB) NTB, Sudjarwo said, to be able to obtain FABA, the public can take it for free at two PLTU locations, namely PLTU Jeranjang and PLTU Sumbawa.
"It is enough by submitting a letter of request for FABA and completing the administrative requirements, the public can transport FABA", he said in a written statement, Tuesday, April 19.
Furthermore, he added, FABA originating from the steam power plant (PLTU) has proven to be sturdy to be used as an alternative building material in the construction process, such as making paving blocks, bricks, and rebates concrete, oil stands, to field stabilization trial studies.

Several locations that have used FABA are also scattered, ranging from Central Lombok, West Lombok, Mataram City, and also Sumbawa. FABA users also consist of several elements of society, ranging from government agencies, and business entities that have business licenses for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to groups of people or communities.
Agencies such as the NTB Police, the Public Works, and Public Housing Service, the Environment and Forestry Service, and the NTB Waste Bank have also used FABA. The synergy between BUMN and BNI has also been pioneered in a CSR program that also utilizes FABA.
