Distribution Of BLT Cooking Oil In Surabaya Reaches 72 Percent Of Target, Ministry Of Social Affairs: Continues To Speed Up Finishing Before Eid

JAKARTA - Around 72 percent of the total 85,328 families in Surabaya City, East Java Province have received direct cash assistance (BLT) for cooking oil. This achievement was immediately appreciated by the Ministry of Social Affairs.

"The realization of BLT Cooking Oil in Surabaya has been very good. I hope it can be 99 percent soon. Currently (distribution) continues to be accelerated, because the target is completed before Lebaran," said Director General of Social Protection and Social Security of the Ministry of Social Affairs, Pepen Nazaruddin, quoted by Antara, Sunday, April 17. .

While monitoring the distribution of cooking oil BLT as well as the Family Hope Program (PKH) and Non-Cash Food Assistance (BPNT) assistance at the Kenjeran District office, Surabaya, Sunday, Pepen expressed his appreciation to the Mayor of Surabaya Eri Cahyadi because the realization of the distribution of cooking oil BLT in Surabaya was classified as tall.

He hopes that the residents of Surabaya City who have received social assistance from the government make the best use of it. "Please use it for useful things," he said.

Special Staff of the Minister of Social Affairs for Foreign Institutions Relations and Partnerships, Faozan Amar, assessed that the distribution of BLT cooking oil in Surabaya was generally going well.

"Hopefully the public will know more about the information, so that those who have received an invitation can immediately come to the post office or designated points (to take assistance)," he said.

Meanwhile, the Mayor of Surabaya Eri Cahyadi said that there were 220 families who symbolically received social assistance from the government at the Kenjeran District Office. Previously, the distribution of social assistance from the government was carried out in Rungkut and Simokerto.

The mayor said that the city government is synergizing with relevant agencies to ensure social assistance from the government reaches the right target.

"Alhamdulillah, everything went smoothly. We can also see the speeds carried out by PT Pos and BNI, so that together they provide the best for the residents, because residents also don't have to wait long here," he said.

He said that social assistance from the government would ease the burden on residents who are still classified as members of the low-income community in the city of Surabaya.
