Celebrating 75 Years Of Diplomatic Relations Between Indonesia And Egypt, The Indonesian Embassy In Cairo Holds A Business Forum

JAKARTA - The Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia (KBRI) for Egypt together with the Egyptian Youth Council held a business forum in a series of the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Indonesia and Egypt.

According to a press statement obtained by Antara on Saturday, the business forum which was held on Thursday, at the Grand Nile Tower, Cairo, was attended by around 50 participants, both from the government and Egyptian business actors.

Indonesian Ambassador to Egypt Lutfi Rauf said that in the 75 years of bilateral relations between Indonesia and Egypt, there have been many results of cooperation whose benefits have been felt by both countries.

The business meeting, he said, was part of efforts to increase trade cooperation between Indonesia and Egypt, especially cooperation in agriculture, manufacturing and emission-free electrical equipment products.

During the forum, Michael Jizhar, Executive Vice President of MODENA explained the advantages of MODENA products which were also designed and developed in Indonesia by carrying the concept of environmentally friendly energy in providing innovative mobility solutions, such as electric scooters and electric cars, as well as household appliances.

In addition, one of the successful female entrepreneurs from Kalimantan, Fatma Julia Azzahra, who is also the Director of PT Ameera Mentaya Indah, introduced her business and promoted its products, such as coffee, palm oil derivatives, rice, fertilizers and Kalimantan handicrafts.

In the business forum, a mini exhibition of products from Indonesia was also held, including health drink products from PT Kalbe Internasional, GESITS electric motorcycle products from Wika Industri Manufaktur (WIMA), agricultural products and handicrafts from PT Ameera Kalimantan and soft food and beverage products. from PT Mayora Indah.

Information on the 37th Trade Expo Indonesia exhibition which will be held on 19-24 October 2022 at ICE BSD Tangerang is also promoted.

The business forum concluded with the conclusion of a trade agreement for the plantation product sector between the Indonesian company PT Ameera Mentaya Indah and the Egyptian company Egyptian Mediterranean Service Company, which was marked by the signing of an MoU between the two parties.
