Edy hopes that the basic food package assistance can ease the people's economic burden considering the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic is still being felt by some people.
"Hopefully this assistance will be useful and become a means for companies to share happiness in the holy month of Ramadan, and the economy will recover soon so that people can immediately carry out their normal activities," he said.
According to the Chairman of the Brilliant Azzahra Foundation, Zainal Arifin, the free basic food assistance from SIG is very meaningful for the residents of Probolinggo Regency.
"We will distribute these basic food packages to residents in 200 villages, especially the elderly and underprivileged widows, who usually work as farm laborers in Probolinggo," he said.
The same thing was conveyed by Novita, a resident of Yosowilangun Village, Gresik Regency. The assistance provided by GIS is seen as very useful for meeting daily needs, especially ahead of Eid al-Fitr.
"We are grateful for this assistance. Hopefully, GIS will continue to provide benefits to the surrounding community," said Novita.
