Strengthening Sharia Human Resources, Muamalat Institute And University Of Muhammadiyah Malang Launch Professional Class

JAKARTA - Muamalat Institute (MI) and Bank Muamalat fully support the steps of the University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) in launching the Professional Center of Excellence (CoE) Class which begins with the Sharia Banking Professional Class.

Muamalat Institute Executive Director Anton Hendrianto said that UMM's strategic efforts through the Faculty of Economics and Business played a major role in encouraging the strengthening of national sharia resources.

"This program is useful to accommodate students who have a passion in the banking world, especially the sharia sector," he said in an official statement on Wednesday, April 13.

According to Anton, his party is very open to collaborating with all parties and academics to continue to explore the potential of the sharia economy which has not been fully explored.

"This program is very good and plays a central role in supporting and preparing competent and qualified Islamic economic human resources, so that they can help advance the growth of the financial industry in Indonesia in the future," he said.

On the same occasion, the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business UMM Idah Zuhroh said that the Islamic Banking Class was a new breakthrough that implemented the spirit of Independent Learning of the Independent Campus (MBKM).

"Specifically, we want the presence of the Center of Excellence (CoE) Program to improve student competencies as professional workers who are ready to compete," he said.

Idah explained, the Islamic Banking Class offers comprehensive learning equivalent to 20 credits of courses.

"Later on, students will be given briefings such as internship opportunities in various regions in Indonesia with a period of six months," he asserted.

For information, the Muamalat Institute is the business wing of the oldest Islamic banking institution in Indonesia, namely Bank Muamalat. For 29 years this institution has contributed to various training programs and business development consulting to support Indonesia's sustainable economic development.
