JAKARTA - Pertamina appreciates the success of the Indonesian National Police and TNI in cracking down on the misuse of Subsidized Solar in several regions in Indonesia. Pertamina also imposed sanctions on gas stations that were proven to have misappropriated the subsidy product.

Several arrests were made at the Penajam SPBN (special fuel filling station) and the KM 9 gas station in Balikpapan City, East Kalimantan. Through the Director of Criminal Investigation at the East Kalimantan Police, more than 1.4 tons of subsidized diesel were confiscated.

Seven people are suspects in this arrest, along with evidence in the form of a 6-wheeled truck that has a modified tank.

Elsewhere, the South Sumatra Police Chief also managed to find adulterated diesel in an illegal warehouse in Gunung Megang District, Muara Enim Regency, South Sumatra. The police also managed to confiscate 108 tons of adulterated diesel and six units of tank cars carrying adulterated diesel along with oplosan equipment, and managed to arrest 6 suspects.

Meanwhile in Jakarta, the TNI through Kodim 0503 has also succeeded in arresting the perpetrators of hoarding diesel fuel in West Jakarta. This time the method is to buy subsidized diesel at gas stations around West Jakarta and then stockpile and sell as much as 12 tons of diesel per day to the industry at a much higher price.

"Of course this is a practice that is very detrimental to the state, and a practice like this is one of the causes of the reduction in the volume of diesel fuel at gas stations, resulting in diesel queues some time ago. Pertamina expresses its appreciation for the fast movement of all ranks of the Indonesian National Police and TNI in taking action against individuals who misuse diesel fuel. subsidies, which should be intended for people in need," said PT Pertamina's Vice President of Corporate Communication, Fajriyah Usman in a written statement, Saturday, April 2.

For information, throughout 2021, Pertamina has also imposed sanctions on no less than 100 rogue gas stations that were proven to have committed fraud. Starting from filling subsidized diesel with jerry cans without a recommendation letter, filling in modified vehicles, misappropriating records or administration, as well as serving filling or transactions above 200 liters.

In providing a deterrent effect to gas station entrepreneurs, Pertamina provides direct sanctions in the form of cessation of supply to the stage of closing the gas station.

"So this applies to all other gas stations/SPBNs if they are proven strong in misappropriating subsidized diesel which can harm the state and society. Pertamina will also continue to coordinate intensely with the Police and TNI to take firm action against irregularities in the distribution of diesel fuel that are not in accordance with regulations," explained Fajriyah. .

As is well known, subsidized diesel fuel in accordance with Presidential Regulation no. 191 of 2014. Users who are entitled to the transportation sector are vehicles with black plates to transport people or goods, vehicles for public services (ambulances, fire engines, garbage collectors) and vehicles with yellow plates.

Vehicles that are categorized as entitled to subsidized diesel need to show a verification letter and recommendation from the relevant SKPD.

"Vehicles that transport mining and plantation products with more than 6 wheels are not vehicles that have the right to use subsidized diesel, so they are expected to use non-subsidized diesel such as Pertamina Dex or Dexlite," explained Fajriyah.

To ensure distribution, Pertamina also monitors in real time information related to stock and processes through the digitization system at the Pertamina Integrated Command Center (PICC).
