Collaborating With Fuse Insurtech, Conglomerate Chairul Tanjung's Insurance Company Raises Premium Income Up To IDR 40.7 Billion

JAKARTA - Currently, the insurance sector is undergoing a faster digital transformation thanks to the presence of Insurtech as a catalyst. Insurtech offers a technology platform that is an alternative channel for distributing insurance products to reach end consumers effectively. To that end, Mega Insurance cooperates with Insurtech to expand market share.

With the cooperation that has existed since 2020, the insurance company belonging to the conglomerate Chairul Tanjung reported that the gross written premium (GWP) contribution in 2021 from Fuse was more than IDR 40.7 billion.

Mega Insurance Managing Director Tomy Ferdiansah GWP Fuse's contribution to Mega Insurance in 2020 is IDR 5.1 billion or there is a growth of more than 800 percent.

"The platform developed by Fuse is a one-stop solution that is easily accessible, has complete features, and has more than 70 thousand marketers and partners," said Tomy in a written statement received by VOI, quoted Wednesday, March 30.

Tomy continued, as a partner of Fuse in the Titanium category, cooperation is important to develop products from branding to sales.

"Insurtech is one way to adapt to current conditions and we Mega Insurance chose Fuse because it has its own advantages," he continued.

Not only with Mega Insurance but Fuse has also now collaborated with more than 40 insurance companies in Indonesia. More than six insurance companies decided to cooperate exclusively with Fuse as a Titanium partner, and Mega Insurance is one of them.

This collaboration includes retail and corporate sales for vehicle, property and other insurance products.

"We support insurance companies in providing insurance experiences for marketers/partners as well as end consumers," concluded Fuse's Co-founder and Chief Operating Officer (COO), Ivan Sunandar.
