JAKARTA - Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo seeks to ensure that the availability of commodities and food remains safe ahead of the Holy Month of Ramadan.

Deputy Regional Head of Perum Bulog Central Java, Muhson Chudlori, also said that food stocks in Central Java were indeed in a safe condition ahead of Ramadan.

"The people's basic needs in the months of Ramadan and Eid are actually sufficient. And Bulog will be there when people need it," he said.

He explained that the stock of food in the Bulog warehouse until March 23, 2022 was recorded in a safe condition, namely cooking oil with an existing stock of 50 thousand liters.

"Cooking oil will increase in line with existing needs. So people don't need to worry, we will continue to procure to meet needs. The government is here with the availability of cooking oil, people don't have to worry," he said.

Furthermore, the current stock of rice is 29 thousand tons and that number continues to grow as the harvest season enters. Another food stock is about 7 tons of wheat flour which will be distributed to all Bulog regional offices in need.
