JAKARTA - Muamalat Institute signed an MoU with the Sharia Financial Economics Business Professional Certification Agency (LSP BEKSYA) related to improving literacy and competence in the sharia industry.
Muamalat Institute Executive Director Anton Hendrianto said this collaboration was a big commitment from the two institutions to continue to invite all stakeholders to participate in advancing the national sharia economy.

According to Anton, all stakeholders in the country must close ranks and increase collaboration so that together they work together to promote the Islamic finance industry or also the halal industry.
"Why do you have to make strategic alliances, because according to this study in 2022, there will be around Rp500 trillion of potential business that will come from the Islamic finance industry, which consists of several industrial sectors," he said.
Furthermore, Anton explained that an important aspect that needs to be considered is through increasing Islamic financial literacy.
"This is what we have to make sure, how do we make the Islamic finance industry more inclusive, by presenting Islamic financial literacy, of course by presenting competent people," he asserted.
On the same occasion, the Chairman of the LSP BEKSYA Steering Committee, Abdul Aziem, said that this cooperation is targeted to be established for the long term.
He said, this is useful to boost the market share of the Islamic economy industry, which is still low but still has high growth potential.
"The majority of Indonesia's population is Muslim, and Bank Muamalat Indonesia is present as a pioneer in the revival of the sharia economy, it needs to synergize with all parties to embrace and advance the sharia economy in our beloved country," he said.
Abdul added that his party and the Muamalat Institute have a big task to promote sharia economics and also to make the community's economy easier.
"Hopefully, even though our journey is far, but as we go hand in hand, God willing, it will be beautiful, and hopefully we will follow up this MoU with concrete actions," concluded Abdul Aziem.
