Kemenkop UKM Prioritize Local Culinary To Welcome MotoGP Mandalika

JAKARTA - Deputy for SMEs of the Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs Hanung Harimba said the 2022 MotoGP event in Mandalika, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), will prioritize local culinary from the province.

"85 percent of the culinary products that will be present will come from the NTB region and 15 percent from other regions," he said, quoted from Antara, Saturday, March 12.

Furthermore, it was stated that the various MSME products that were present at the racing event had gone through the curation stage and had been adapted to consumer trends.

Based on data from MotoGP visitors at Sepang Malaysia, he said, it was known that 80 percent of the audience were male, and most of them bought products directly on location.

"So our culinary products will be expanded and merchandise will also be reproduced because they are purchased the most," said Hanung.

Together with the NTB Provincial Government, his party ensures that the supply of MSME products at the MotoGP event has been fulfilled. Therefore, Hanung considers that there will be no unreasonable price increases by MSME actors.

If someone takes this action, he said, then in the future these SMEs will not be included in various other events.

As is known, Kemenkop will prepare 70 non-culinary SMEs in the automotive category as many as 27 SMEs, souvenirs and souvenirs as many as 38 SMEs and health products as many as 5 SMEs. Meanwhile, there will be 45 SMEs in the food and beverage category.

"The Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy has prepared 300 SMEs in the form of a planogram at BIZAM Airport (Zainudin Abdul Majid International Airport) and 10 food trucks at Mandalika Beach Park," he said.

Bank Indonesia is also said to have helped prepare 83 MSMEs in the Mandalika circuit, as well as the NTB Province Cooperatives and SMEs Office together with Grab to prepare 45 culinary SMEs.
