Pursuing Tax Target Of IDR 1,265 Trillion, Sri Mulyani Accompanies President Jokowi In Reporting Annual SPT

JAKARTA - Minister of Finance (Menkeu) Sri Mulyani Indrawati accompanied President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) when reporting the Annual Income Tax Return (SPT) through the e-filling online application at the Bogor Presidential Palace today.

In his statement, the President said that the reporting of the Annual Income Tax Return through e-filing provides convenience for taxpayers because it can be done without having to come to the tax office.

“The method is easy and hassle-free because there is no need to go to the tax office. It can be anytime and from anywhere," said the Head of State as published on the official website of the Ministry of Finance, Friday, March 4.

Through this electronic reporting, the President also invites taxpayers to immediately report the Annual SPT before the specified time limit.

“Fathers, mothers, brothers and sisters who have not yet submitted their annual tax returns, report them immediately. Remember, the last date is March 31, 2022," explained the President.

On this occasion, President Jokowi also explained that the taxes paid by the community will be very useful in supporting various development programs.

“The taxes we pay are very much needed to support development programs, especially for economic recovery, increasing people's purchasing power, restoring health, including vaccination programs. Our taxes are for us," said President Jokowi.

For information, this year the government targets state revenues of IDR 1,846.1 trillion.

Meanwhile, the tax revenue sector is targeted to generate Rp1,510 trillion, consisting of Rp1,265 trillion in tax revenues and Rp245 trillion in customs and excise.

As of January 31, 2022, it is known that tax revenues have collected Rp. 134 trillion, consisting of taxes of Rp. 109.1 trillion and customs and excise of Rp. 24.9 trillion.
