Ahead Of The Isra Miraj Holiday, Four Toll Gates Recorded 347,711 Vehicles Leaving Jabodetabek

JAKARTA - A total of 347,711 vehicles left the Jabotabek area on Friday-Saturday (24-25 February) or D-3 to D-2 of the 2022 Isra Miraj holiday which falls on February 28.

Corporate Communication & Community Development Group Head of PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk Dwimawan Heru said this figure is the cumulative number of traffic (traffic) from the four Barrier/Main Toll Gates (GT), namely GT Cikupa (direction Merak), GT Ciawi (towards Puncak), and GT Cikampek Utama and GT Kalihurip Utama (direction Trans Java and Bandung).

"The total volume of traffic leaving the Jabotabek area rose 27.12 percent compared to normal traffic for the February 2022 period with a total of 273,539 vehicles," said Heru in a written statement quoted by Antara, Sunday, February 27.

For the distribution of traffic leaving Jabotabek from the four directions, the majority of which were 172,947 vehicles (49.74 percent) heading east (Trans Java) and Bandung, heading west (Merak) 90,894 vehicles (26.14 percent) and 83,870 vehicles (24, 12 percent) towards the South (Peak).

For the Jabotabek traffic heading east or the Trans Java Toll Road via GT Cikampek Utama, the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road, with a total of 91,099 vehicles, an increase of 48.57 percent from normal traffic.

Meanwhile, traffic leaving Jabotabek heading towards Bandung via GT Kalihurip Utama Cipularang Toll Road, with a total of 81,848 vehicles, up 35.61 percent from normal traffic.

The total number of vehicles leaving Jabotabek for the direction of Trans Java and Bandung through the two GTs is 172,947 vehicles, an increase of 42.14 percent from normal traffic.

Meanwhile, the traffic leaving Jabotabek heading west or Merak via GT Cikupa Tangerang-Merak Toll Road is 90,894 vehicles, up 4.04 percent from normal traffic.

For the number of vehicles leaving Jabotabek heading south or Puncak via GT Ciawi Jagorawi Toll Road as many as 83,870 vehicles, an increase of 30.02 percent from normal traffic.
