MSME Coffee Products, UD Cangkir In Rembang, Central Java Successfully Have 300 Resellers Thanks To Mentoring From Semen Gresik

JAKARTA - PT Semen Gresik, which is a business unit of PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (SIG) is committed to providing guidance to Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) around the company's operational areas. A number of activities are carried out to support the performance of MSMEs so that MSME businesses can develop more, including through mentoring, training and mentoring.

One of the benefits of this coaching was felt by Vera Damayanti, the owner of the UD Cangkir coffee business in Rembang Regency, which is an MSME fostered by PT Semen Gresik. Who would have thought that being in the coffee business would allow him to earn a turnover of up to Rp. 180 million per month and be able to create employment opportunities for the people around him.

Vera Damayanti said that currently UD Cangkir is able to produce 4 tons of Robusta and Arabica coffee every month by involving 10 employees. Its products are sold in various regions such as Central Java, East Java, Jakarta, Kalimantan to Sumatra by involving 300 resellers as sales partners.

UD Cangkir was founded in 1982, starting from paying attention to the habits of the people of Rembang Regency who like to consume coffee, finally the idea came up to open a coffee production business, which at that time was still rarely available for coffee. UD Cangkir started to produce coffee with the brand "Lelet Cangkir" which is produced with high quality, which is processed using selected coffee beans, without a mixture that is processed traditionally using firewood.

"We are trying to maintain the production process until now, so that the taste of the coffee produced is maintained, that's what makes our products popular with the public," said Vera Damayanti in a written statement, Wednesday, February 23.

After joining as a partner of PT Semen Gresik, the business, which is located in Sumberejo Village No. 20, Rembang Regency is growing.

We have received many benefits, including getting assistance, marketing training through IT, sharing and consulting with mentors which can be done at any time if there are problems with the business being run," added Vera Damayanti.

Meanwhile, SIG's Corporate Secretary, Vita Mahreyni, appreciates UD Cangkir's coffee business which can continue to grow as it is today. According to him, the company will continue to encourage MSME efforts to continue to develop so that they can open up job opportunities and support economic growth.

This SOE house is a place for MSME actors to participate in training, assistance for the licensing process. as a place for displaying products, selling as well as a center for souvenirs from the fostered MSMEs," said Vita Mahreyni.
