JAKARTA - Increasing the number of electricity sales in January 2022, PT PLN (Persero) posted revenues of Rp. 25.13 trillion, an increase of 12.38 percent. This amount is greater than the same period last year (year on year) of Rp22.36 trillion.

PLN's Executive Vice President of Corporate Communications and CSR, Agung Murdifi, said that the increase in PLN's revenue in January 2022 was triggered by the increase in electricity sales growth.

"In January 2022, electricity sales were recorded at 22.45 Gigawatt hour (GWh), an increase of 1.03 percent from the same period last year of 22.23 GWh," said Agung.

Agung added that the increase in electricity sales is proof that the Indonesian economy is starting to recover, which was previously sluggish due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
