JAKARTA - A number of traders at Klender Market, East Jakarta, complained about the scarcity of bulk and packaged cooking oil. The traders also commented on the government's policy regarding the price of bulk cooking oil, which costs Rp. 11,500 per kilogram. This was not found in the field or in the market, nor was the price for packaged cooking oil set by the government at Rp. 14,000 per liter. A number of traders said that the stock of cooking oil from agents was already scarce and limited. And the prices that traders get from agents are already high and do not match the prices set by the government. Traders also said there was no cooking oil from the government.
