LPEI Invites MSMEs To Showcase Their Leading Products At The G20 Meeting In Jakarta This Week

JAKARTA - The Indonesian Export Financing Agency (LPEI) collaborates with fostered partners of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to participate in the G20 meeting in Jakarta this week by displaying various superior products.

LPEI Executive Director Rijani Tirtoso said that his party was proud to be able to take part in this historic event.

"We bring a variety of products from our partner MSMEs which are expected to open up opportunities for additional foreign exchange. In addition, LPEI also wants to create new exporters and promote export commodities in the regions," he said in an official statement, Tuesday, February 15.

According to Rijani, the products displayed are expected to attract the attention of delegates from friendly countries, so that they can reflect Indonesia's strength to rise up to face the pandemic with a positive and enthusiastic spirit.

"Here we present a variety of fashion products, handicrafts and home decorations, to accessories," he said.

In fact, a variety of local products that are worldwide have been exported to various countries in Europe, the United States and Asia.

"LPEI as a Special Mission Vehicle (SMV) with a mandate to increase national exports, brings a variety of assisted MSME products that have been part of global trade to be displayed in front of all delegates from various countries," he explained.

As is well known, today is the beginning of a series of 2nd Finance and Central Bank Deputies (FCBD) and 1st Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors (FMCBG) meetings which are scheduled to last until 18 February.

The Forum of Ministers of Finance and Central Bank Governors from G-20 member countries and partner countries will meet in Jakarta to discuss various issues and challenges of world finance, especially dealing with the impact of COVID-19. The meeting itself took place at the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC).
