JAKARTA - The State Asset Management Institute (LMAN) of the Ministry of Finance is said to have disbursed funds of no less than IDR 650 billion for land acquisition for the construction of the Binjai-Langsa toll road. This amount is a recapitulation of calculations until January 31, 2022, ago.

Head of the Business Development and Communication Strategy Division of LMAN, Dewi Sophiyan, said the Binjai-Langsa section is part of the Trans Sumatra Toll Road (JTTS) which stretches from Aceh to Lampung.

According to her, LMAN received a direct mandate from President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) to accelerate the realization of the completion of the JTTS. She said this step is intended to improve connectivity between regions in Sumatra which is also projected to have an impact on increasing economic growth of the region and the surrounding community.

"Overall, LMAN has funded the procurement of land for the construction of JTTS for IDR 11.42 trillion until January 31, 2022", she said in a press statement on Friday, February 4.

To note, this year LMAN received a mandate to allocate government investment funds of IDR 28.84 trillion. The budget is focused on land acquisition for various National Strategic Project (PSN) infrastructures.

As for that figure, IDR 24.088 trillion was mandated to finance land acquisition for the toll road sector, including JTTS.
