Erick Optimistic That Indonesia Will Become The 4th Strongest Economic Country In The World

JAKARTA - Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Erick Thohir estimates that Indonesia will become the fourth strongest economy in the world in 2045 because the growth rate is improving from year to year.

"2045 is our maximum point. Continue to grow, we will become the fourth largest country in the world," said Erick Thohir as quoted from ANTARA, Tuesday, February 1.

However, there are several things that must be considered if Indonesia is to be on par with other strong economic countries. Erick emphasized the need for harmony and unity between people and races between communities so that the country's foundation for progress is getting stronger.

Erick also highlighted the struggle of the nation's predecessors who brought Indonesia to the stage of independence only with the capital of unity and integrity. "According to our 'founding father', Soekarno-Hatta, who proved that this is Bhineka Tunggal Ika, Pancasila, the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia as a force," said Erick.

Erick hopes that during this Lunar New Year, harmony between tribes and religions will be stronger so that the potential for divisions that have an impact on the economic downturn can be avoided.

Erick Thohir visited Wihara Dharma Bhakti, which is located in the Taman Sari area, West Jakarta, while greeting residents. Erick wearing a red batik shirt arrived at around 08.00 WIB together with a convoy of police guards.

The arrival of Erick Thohir was immediately greeted by the Chairman of the Vihara Dharma Bhakti Management Shirley Wijaya and Jusuf Hamka who were already at the Vihara. Not only welcomed by the two people, but Erick was also welcomed by residents who were carrying out Chinese New Year worship in the temple.
