JAKARTA - The implementation of the second volume of tax amnesty or tax amnesty entitled Voluntary Disclosure Program (PPS) has entered its 24th day after coming into force on January 1, 2022 ago.

The Directorate General of Taxes (DGT) of the Ministry of Finance reports that to date there have been 7,141 taxpayers (WP) who have disclosed their assets with 7,795 certificates.

"The net worth (disclosed by the taxpayer is) IDR 5.45 trillion," said the official website on Tuesday, January 25.

Of this amount, most of the assets disclosed domestically and repatriated funds from abroad amounted to Rp4.58 trillion.

Then, the declaration of WP's foreign assets was recorded at Rp. 543.72 billion. Meanwhile, the amount channeled to investment instruments that have been determined by the government is IDR 334.8 billion.

"The total income tax (which enters the state treasury) is Rp591.87 billion," said the DGT.

As a comparison, on the 23rd day of PPS or last Monday, it was recorded that the amount of assets disclosed was Rp. 5.25 trillion. This means that there is an increase in the declaration of WP assets of around Rp. 200 billion within 24 hours.

Likewise, what went into the state coffers in the form of income tax, which previously amounted to Rp. 550 billion on January 23, became Rp. 591 on January 24. The Voluntary Disclosure Program itself is a product of the Law on the Harmonization of Tax Regulations (HPP) which will last until June 30, 2022.
