Jakarta – Subholding Gas Pertamina, PT PGN implemented a policy of reducing installments for Guaranteed Payments (JP) for household natural gas customers and small customers.
This is in order to improve services for natural gas customers, especially household customers and MSMEs as well as to support the community's economy, especially due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The installment scheme is given to jargas customers from the APBN, household customers and small/retail customers of the Sayang Ibu Program (PSI), and jargas customers from the APBN, which have adjusted the selling price of gas in 11 cities/regencies.
Customers are given relief from JP payments in installments starting from December 23, 2021 to June 30, 2022, by submitting an application for the provision of JP installments to PGN.
"The maximum period of guarantee for payment in installments is 6 months," said PGN Corporate Secretary, Rachmat Hutama in an official statement, Wednesday, January 5. "The payment guarantee is applied as a risk mitigation measure to prevent the emergence of receivables for gas usage bills that fail/late payments and will be returned to customers if they stop subscribing and all payment obligations have been completed," added Rachmat.
Rachmat added, for regular payments for natural gas use, the applicable tariff remains normal in accordance with the latest regulations from the regulator. The prevailing price has been calculated with various considerations and still takes into account the purchasing power of the people, including in order to ensure that government energy subsidies are right on target for those in need.
PGN also expressed its gratitude for the public's trust so that the use of natural gas through household gas and small customers is increasing every year.
