Legitimate! President Jokowi Sets Selection Committee For Candidates For OJK Board Of Commissioners: There Are Sri Mulyani, Perry Warjiyo, To Chatib Basri

JAKARTA - It is said that President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) has determined the formation of the Selection Committee for the Selection of Candidates for the Board of Commissioners of the Financial Services Authority for the period 2022–2027. This is stated in Presidential Decree No. 145/P of 2021 which was issued on 24 December.

This step itself is intended as a regeneration of the tenure of members of the Board of Commissioners of the Financial Services Authority for the period 2017–2022 which will end on July 20, 2022.

"According to Article 11 of Law Number 21 of 2011 concerning the Financial Services Authority and its explanations, the Selection Committee consists of nine people and its membership consists of elements of the government, Bank Indonesia and the public," said the government's official statement on Friday, December 31.

Meanwhile, community elements are academics in the financial services sector, the banking industry community, capital market industry, and/or non-bank financial industry which includes insurance, pension funds, financing institutions, and other financial service institutions.

Later, the selection committee will work to recruit competent candidates and then Submit the names of candidates for members of the Financial Services Authority Board of Commissioners to the President as many as three candidates for each required member of the Board of Commissioners.

The working period of the Selection Committee is from the enactment of Presidential Decree Number 145/P of 2021 until the appointment of members of the Board of Commissioners of the Financial Services Authority for the period of 2022–2027.
