Erick Thohir Reorganizes KAI Commissioner: Endang Tirtana's Name Enters, Said Aqil Is Still A Commute

JAKARTA - Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Erick Thohir reshuffled the commissioners of PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) or PT KAI. Erick also appointed Endang Tirtana as an Independent Commissioner of KAI.

The reshuffle of KAI's commissioners is based on a copy of the Decree of the Minister of SOEs Number SK-417/MBU/12/2021 dated December 29, 2021. Through the letter, Erick also honorably dismissed Pungky Sumadi as Commissioner of KAI.

The reshuffle of the board of commissioners in KAI is expected to have a positive impact on the company.

"The dismissal and appointment of members of the Board of Commissioners of PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) is expected to have a positive impact on maintaining and improving the company's performance," reads the official letter of KAI, quoted by VOI, Thursday, December 30.

EVP Corporate Secretary of KAI Asdo Artriviyanto congratulated Endang Tirtana with the hope of bringing progress to Indonesian railways.

Furthermore, Asdo representing KAI management also expressed his gratitude to Pungky Sumadi who has dedicated himself to KAI.

For your information, Pungky Sumadi himself has served as a commissioner at KAI since 2017. His appointment was based on the Decree of the Minister of State-Owned Enterprises Number SK-55/MBU/03/2017 dated March 17, 2017.
