JAKARTA - The Indonesian Export Financing Agency (LPEI)/Indonesia Eximbank always strives to promote and encourage the creation of a conducive business climate for increasing national exports. Through various programs, one of which is called the Coaching Program for New Exporters (CPNE), LPEI seeks to promote the development of micro, small, medium and cooperative enterprises in order to obtain products with high selling value and export orientation.

These efforts in turn are expected to support the acceleration of increasing national exports, helping to increase national production capabilities that are highly competitive and have advantages for exports.

"The CPNE program can be followed by small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to increase their capacity to enter the world of exports. They will be provided with training on export product quality standards, certification, harmonized system classification (HS Code) and others," Managing Director II Indonesia Eximbank, Maqin U. Norhadi in a written statement, Wednesday 15 December.

Maqin added that CPNE is an LPEI program in the form of export-oriented training and assistance intended for business actors and also members of cooperatives. This training and mentoring program is carried out for one year and is free of charge.

LPEI/Indonesia Eximbank implements several strategies to help SME players to advance to class, one of which is by prioritizing commodity-based community development programs.

This program is designed as a solution for business actors and implemented in an integrated manner such as the Foreign Exchange Village which is a commodity-based community development program to generate foreign exchange, and marketing handholding which is a program to market products produced by SMEs digitally through a global marketplace.

"The data at the end of November 2021, we have provided training to 2,706 SME players spread across 15 cities, and there are 75 business actors who are CPNE graduates who have successfully carried out initial exports and there have been 6 Foreign Exchange Village programs involving 26 villages with a total of 2,894. farmers/craftsmen," he explained.

This achievement is inseparable from the synergy and collaboration between institutions and support from the central government and local governments to increase the potential of the region and encourage business actors. On November 6, 2021, the Kusamba Salt Foreign Exchange Village was launched which is a collaboration and synergy between the Directorate General of State Assets (DJKN) of the Ministry of Finance, the Klungkung Regency Government, and LPEI. The aim of this program is not only to bring quality local salt to a global level, but it is also hoped that it will improve the local economy, social and environmental level.

"As one of the Special Mission Vehicles (SMV) of the Ministry of Finance, we are a special financial institution established by the Government whose one of its activities is to provide financing to exporters/export-oriented businesses to increase the competitiveness of Indonesian products and services in the global market. LPEI prepares a one stop service solution for export-oriented business actors," said Maqin.
