Source Of Trillions Of Conglomerate Hary Tanoesoedibjo's Money This Year, 6 Of His Companies Raise Revenue Increases In The Third Quarter Of 2021

JAKARTA - The business of companies belonging to the conglomerate Hary Tanoesoedibjo is booming in 2021. At least, this can be seen in six of the nine issuers belonging to Hary Tanoesoedibjo, namely the MNC group, which recorded performance growth in the third quarter of 2021.

The most 'flying' performance, still comes from the media business. PT Media Nusantara Citra Tbk. posted an increase in total net income of 18.62 percent to Rp. 7.07 trillion in the third quarter of 2021, compared to the same period last year of Rp. 5.97 trillion.

The increase in operating income of the issuer codenamed MNCN also made net profit growth for the current period by 24.94 percent. From Rp1.45 trillion in the third quarter of 2020 to Rp1.81 trillion in the third quarter of 2021.

The MNC group issuers that recorded the brightest performance in the first nine months of this year were the media and entertainment issuer PT MNC Studios International Tbk. (MSIN) with an increase in revenue of 25.82 percent and a profit that soared by 69.93 percent.

MSIN's revenue in the third quarter of 2021 was IDR 1.31 trillion and net profit for the period attributable to owners of the parent company was IDR 211.24 billion.

One of the issuers of the financial sector engaged in investment, owned by Hary Tanoe, PT MNC Kapital Indonesia Tbk. also recorded growth in performance, especially profit which grew to 48.09 percent and revenue increased by 8.67 percent.

In the third quarter of 2021, the issuer with the stock code BCAP posted a total revenue of Rp. 1.92 trillion and a net profit attributable to owners of the parent entity of Rp. 23.25 billion.

Performance growth was also recorded in another financial sector issuer, PT MNC Investama Tbk (BHIT), whose income rose 14.63 percent to Rp. 12.40 trillion and then turned into net profit attributable to owners of the parent entity to Rp. 347.30 billion.

Two other issuers that also recorded positive performance were media issuers PT Global Mediacom Tbk (BMTR) and PT MNC Vision Networks Tbk (IPTV). BMTR recorded revenue growth of 16.85 percent to Rp. 10.48 trillion and recorded a profit increase of 29.85 percent to Rp. 970.43 billion.

Meanwhile, IPTV recorded an 8.94 percent increase in revenue to Rp. 2.93 trillion and a 21.79 percent increase in profit to Rp. 256.01 billion in the third quarter of 2021.

On the other hand, PT Bank MNC International Tbk. (BABP). PT MNC Land Tbk. (KPIG), and PT MNC Sky Vision Tbk. (MSKY) in the third quarter of 2021 posted a decline in performance.
