Good News From Pertamina: Stocks Of BBM And Elpiji Are Safe After The Eruption Of Mount Semeru

JAKARTA - PT Pertamina Parta Niaga guarantees the resilience of fuel and LPG stocks and ensures that the distribution of the two types of products remains smooth after the natural disaster of the eruption of Mount Semeru in Lumajang, East Java.

"There are 17 gas stations and 12 subsidized LPG agents currently operating in Lumajang," said Pertamina Patra Niaga Communications Manager for the Java, Bali, and Nusa Tenggara regions, Deden Mochamad Idhani, in a written statement, quoted from Antara, Monday, December 6.

Deden explained that the closest distribution agency in the affected area, namely SPBU 54,673.10 in Pronojiwo District, or 14 kilometers from the peak of Mount Semeru.

Pertamina has made a supply diversion scenario through the Surabaya Integrated Terminal from the previous one through the Malang Fuel Terminal due to the Gladak Perak bridge which was broken by the Mount Semeru eruption material.

The nearest Pertashop locations are in the villages of Sumberurip, Sumberwuluh, Penanggal, and Kloposawit which are monitored to continue operating even with the scenario of diverting the Malang Fuel Terminal supply to the Surabaya Integrated Terminal.

"For LPG distribution in Pronojiwo and Tempursari sub-districts, the stock is currently safe, but there will also be a transfer of supply from SPPBE from previously in the Lumajang area to SPPBE in Malang with an average distribution of 40,000 tubes per month," said Deden.

Pertamina Patra Niaga also continues to coordinate with relevant stakeholders, such as BPBD and the Police for smooth operations in the field and other assistance.

"We will continue to evaluate and provide the latest news regarding operations in the field. People don't need to panic because we are committed to distributing energy throughout the region," concluded Deden.
