Rewards Response To JPEN-PGN Cooperation To Fulfill Gas Needs For Industrial Estates In Central Java

SEMARANG - One of the regional-owned enterprises, PT Jateng Petro Energi (JPEN) and the State Gas Company (PGN) have collaborated to meet gas needs in all industrial areas in Central Java.

"Today there is a commitment to cooperation between JPEN and PGN to supply gas to all industrial areas in Central Java, this is a very long homework that must be done as well as an answer to gas difficulties in Central Java," said Ganjar Pranowo in Semarang, Central Java ( Central Java), Friday, December 3.

Ganjar hopes that this cooperation can support the industry in Central Java to grow. "I appreciate this breakthrough, so that we don't wait for big programs that have not yet been realized. The big ones are still running, but we have to work on these short distances," he said as quoted by Antara.

He also said that there was another interesting cooperation offer from PGN, which plans to distribute gas still in the form of LNG by train from East Java to Central Java which will be processed at stations throughout Central Java into gas, before being distributed to industrial areas.

"Well, the processing process can produce cold storage. It's a business opportunity because it can be sold and the energy is free. But the point is we want to convey to our fellow entrepreneurs, that we are ready and willing to help with energy issues, especially gas can really be delivered, the supply is Meanwhile, PT PGN President Director Haryo Yunianto said that the source of Central Java's gas supply is in East Java, and the gas will be sent via LNG by train.

"There are two things that we are targeting, firstly, this collaboration with JPEN is to penetrate industrial areas throughout Central Java, secondly, we have a gas network program for households. So, we will build a gas network for all households in Central Java," he said.

The trick is that the network with pipes installed will be channeled directly, but for those without pipes, the gas will be sent via train.

"The train station must be in the middle of the city, so from there we will build pipes to supply households to every district/city. We hope that this program can be implemented in January 2022," he said.

Haryo confirmed that there are new business opportunities from the program and when LNG changes to gas, there is a cold temperature released that can be used as cold storage for fisheries, industry, and others.

"The energy is free from the process of converting LNG to gas, so it can be optimized," he said.

Asked about the gas demand in Central Java, Haryo said that until now, for the next five years, Central Java will meet its gas demand of 100 mmbtu per day.

"About 100 mmbtu per day, that's the gas demand in Central Java for the next five years which we will fulfill," he said.
