Birama 2021 To Become A Platform For Bank Indonesia To Gather Public Aspirations

JAKARTA - Bank Indonesia (BI) is holding a BI with the Community event or also known as Birama 2021 as a medium for dialogue between the central bank and the public, especially regarding the economic prospects and policy directions in 2022.

BI Governor Perry Warjiyo said his party communicated continuously to the public in carrying out its mandate as an independent central bank while maintaining aspects of accountability and transparency.

"For this reason, Birama is also a form of efforts to strengthen transparency, especially regarding policy directions and future economic prospects, with a number of policy responses and synergies with stakeholders," he said in a press statement, Thursday, December 12.

According to Perry, Birama is an ideal forum for discussing synergies to encourage economic recovery and innovation to accelerate sustainable economic growth.

"This step is also seeking input in maintaining macroeconomic and financial system stability, as well as various policy innovations to answer challenges in the digital era, including through digitalization," he said.

The Birama itself will be held for three days starting from December 1-3, 2021, involving high institutions, banks, economic observers, economic actors, academics, and the media.

Meanwhile, the series of events held consisted of Focus Group Discussions (FGD), Podcasts, to stand up comedy in the entertainment section.

"Bank Indonesia will continue to encourage sustainable economic growth and accelerate the integration of the digital economy and finance in the future," concluded BI Governor Perry Warjiyo.
