JAKARTA - PT Bank Mandiri Tbk. mentioned participating in the 2021 National Discount Festival (FDN) event which will be held from 1-31 December 2021 on a hybrid basis.

Bank Mandiri Business and Network Director Aquarius Rudianto said he was pleased that FDN 2021 had a strong commitment to advancing micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs). Moreover, the spirit of the #BanggaBuatanIndonesia movement was very strong at this festival.

"This is a contribution for MSMEs by maximizing the sale of local products, which is curated and digitally," he said in an official statement, Wednesday, December 1.

According to Aquarius, prioritizing MSME products in the procurement of various needs is another surefire way that can encourage the growth and development of this populist sector business.

"Using MSME products means encouraging a sense of love for local products by the community which is expected to be able to accelerate the revival of the national economy," he said.

On the same occasion, Expert Staff for MSMEs at the Ministry of SOEs, Loto Srinaita Ginting, said that this agenda was one of the biggest promotional events held at various merchants, both conventional and online.

"This opportunity is a good local business collaboration to move the wheels of the community's economy," he said.

For information, FDN 2021 is part of a series of activities of the Proudly Made in Indonesia National Movement (BBI) promoted by the government. The event is also a year-end closing event run by the Ministry of SOEs as the Campaign Manager of Gernas BBI and is the result of the synergy of various ministries.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of SOEs appointed Bank Mandiri in carrying out FDN activities which are expected to make a real contribution to bringing the Indonesian economy out of the pressure of the COVID-19 pandemic.

FDN 2021 also plans a National Online Shopping Day (Harbolnas) on 11-12 December 2021 in collaboration with the Indonesia E-Commerce Association (idEA).
