Bank Mandiri Hopes Winners Of The Young Entrepreneur Competition To Contribute Actively To The Economy

JAKARTA – PT Bank Mandiri Tbk. continue to support the presence of young entrepreneurs who are expected to contribute actively to the economy. This is manifested by the Mandiri Young Entrepreneur (WMM) competition which has now produced three national champions.

Bank Mandiri's Director of Institutional Relations said that since 2007, WMM has produced more than 50,000 young entrepreneurs who have had a direct impact on society.

“Young Independent Entrepreneurs also play an active role in creating job opportunities, so that they are ready to be a solution to various problems in the nation's economy. This is what motivates us to consistently continue to encourage the birth of young entrepreneurs," he said in an official statement, Sunday, November 28.

According to Rohan, his party ensures that the benefits obtained by the participants do not stop at the competition stage, but continue at the stage of mentoring, business development, and also promoting the business of the finalists.

"We also include finalists and winners in national and local promotional events so that they can introduce products to the market, so that they can be added value in business development," he said.

Rohan said that the final finalists must be able to present their business concepts and answer questions from the jury, such as SOE Minister Erick Thohir, Trade Minister M Lutfi, Cooperatives and MSME Minister Teten Masduki, Wantimpres Member Putri Kuswisnu Wardani, and Bank Mandiri President Director Darmawan Junaidi. To note, these judges will also act as investors for the best business schemes.

"We want what the company is doing to become an ecosystem for creative business actors as well as inspiration for the younger generation to become innovative, creative, and solution-oriented entrepreneurs who will play an important role in the revival of the national economy," he said.

Meanwhile, in WMM 2021 appearing as the first winner is Aminudi, an animal feed entrepreneur from organic waste with the business name Biomagg.

Followed by Syukriyatun Niamah, a provider of furniture made from recycled plastic materials in second place, and Alamsyah, a provider of online tracking systems for cars and other mobile assets.

WMM itself carries the concept of the Capital League, which challenges all finalists to compete and struggle to get as much capital rewards as possible with a total reward of IDR 2.5 billion.
