Kulon Progo Regent Still Reviewing Application For Yogyakarta International Airport Tax Dispensation

KULON PROGO - The Regent of Kulon Progo, DIY, Sutedjo is still conducting a study regarding the application for dispensation from the payment of Land and Building Tax for Urban and Rural Yogyakarta International Airport or YIA in the amount of Rp. 28 billion by PT Angksa Pura I.

Sutedjo said that the Land and Building Tax for Urban and Rural Yogyakarta International Airport or Yogyakarta International Airport (YIA) was actually Rp. .

The granting of this relief is stated in Perbup Number 11 of 2021 letter g that the Sales Value of Tax Objects or NJOP above IDR 3 trillion is given a tax relief of 65 percent.

"However, for various reasons, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Angkasa Pura I is still asking for waivers, so we will consider and discuss the dispensation request again," said Sutedjo.

Sutedjo said that as a result of a meeting between himself, Kulon Progo Regency Government officials and PT Angkasa Pura I on Thursday, November 25, no tax reduction decision had been made. PT Angkasa Pura I continues to provide reasons, and considerations for applying for the dispensation of PBBP2 Yogyakarta International Airport.

Payment of PBBP2 Yogyakarta International Airport itself will be due on December 8, so there is still time for payment of the tax payable.

"Furthermore, we will discuss it with the team. What the results will be, we can't tell because we haven't held an internal meeting yet," he said.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Legal Division of the Kulon Progo Secretariat Muhadi said that his party was still conducting a legal study because Angkasa Pura I still objected to the PBBP2 debt amounting to Rp28 billion. They are trying to find other loopholes to ease the tax payment.

Based on a meeting between the Kulon Progo Regency Government and Angkasa Pura I mediated by the Kulon Progo District Attorney, they will use the non-natural disaster gap for the COVID-19 pandemic.

"This is a request from Angkasa Pura I and the district government team is still reviewing the gap. But we have not been able to decide on it, because the final decision is with the regent," he said.
