Prices Of Basic Necessities In Agam Skyrocket Towards The End Of The Year

AGAM - Prices of basic necessities in Agam Regency, West Sumatra moved up by Rp200 to Rp10,000 per kilogram towards the end of the year, due to low supplies in the area.

Head of Trade Division of Agam's Industry, Trade, Cooperatives, Small and Medium Enterprises, Nelfia Fauzana, said that the price of this need has increased since last week after supply was reduced in the area.

"This is the information we got from traders in the Lubukbasung and Garagahan Union Markets," said Nelfia as quoted by Antara, Monday, November 22.

He said the price of basic necessities that rose in the form of cayenne pepper from Rp. 40,000 to Rp. 50,000/kg, shallots from Rp. 15,000 to Rp. 20,000/kg, and garlic from Rp. 25,000 to Rp. 26,000/kg.

Meanwhile leek from Rp6,000 to Rp12,000/kg, potatoes from Rp9,000 to Rp12,000/kg, beans from Rp6,000/kg to Rp10,000, tuna fish from Rp24,000/kg to Rp25,000 , sardines from Rp30,000 to Rp32,000/kg, mackerel from Rp35,000 to Rp37,000/kg. In addition, the price of tomatoes from Rp5,000 to Rp8,000 per kilogram, cabbage from Rp4,000 to Rp5 .000/kg, wartel from Rp. 8,000 to Rp. 10,000/kg.

"The price of bulk cooking oil has remained at Rp. 20,000 per kilogram since last month and the price has decreased in the form of red chilies from Rp. 50,000 to Rp. 45 thousand per kilogram," he said.

He added that the normal price is in the form of island rice, Rp. 12,000/kg, sokan rice, Rp. 12,000/kg, Ir 42 rice, Rp. 11,500/kg, paluang thread rice, Rp. 11,000/kg, and kuruik kusuik Rp. 14,000/kg. .
