JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo revealed that many investments want to enter PT Pertamina (Persero) and PT PLN (Persero). But all of them are constrained by bureaucracy.

"I see actually the investments that want to go to Pertamina and PLN are queuing up and there are lots of them, but the complexity is in our bureaucracy and in our own SOEs. I am a field person, I sometimes want to be angry for something I know but it's difficult. really done," said the President, according to a video uploaded to the Presidential Secretariat's Youtube channel, reported by Antara, Saturday, November 20.

Jokowi said, there are things that are easy but difficult to do, and do not go for a walk. According to the President, this position must continue to be improved with the professionalism of the commissioners and directors of SOEs.

"These positions must continue to be improved with the professionalism of the ladies and gentlemen, brothers and sisters. Each assignment must be calculated as a consequence, for PLN from what kind of tariff, for Pertamina especially for premium and what kind of LPG, and it is conveyed transparently and open," he explained.

The President asked the relevant commissioners and directors to be open with numbers and logical calculations.

"Be forthright with numbers, with calculations, with calculations, but logically," he explained. The President emphasized that he did not want the assignment to be carried out without checking and control. According to him, this will be known during securitization.

"Because the assignment, I don't think it's checked, it's not controlled. If you want to go to securitization, you'll find out the price, it's expensive, it's difficult to securitize. For what reason, it's just because there's an assignment going on, we have to avoid this. I took action," said the President.

He emphasized that PLN and Pertamina must maintain the governance of each assignment.

"Never again, don't 'hit a ride', don't hide in the name of the assignment so that the management is inefficient, the procurement is not right. This must be avoided with the so-called assignment. The weak point is there, so the professionalism is lost," said the President.
