'My Heart Is Tied Here, This Work Is Only For Indonesia', Erick Thohir's Words In Response To Allegations Of The PCR Test Business?

JAKARTA - SOE Minister Erick Thohir was accused of being involved in the Real Time Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) test business. Not only Erick, the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment (Menko Marves) also received the same accusation.

Erick also interpreted this accusation wisely. According to him, these accusations are only the work of certain elements who deliberately build negative narratives during the COVID-19 pandemic.

According to Erick, the negative narrative aims to divide the unity and integrity of the Indonesian nation. Even though, said Erick, the government and the community should unite to strengthen togetherness and mutual cooperation in dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic.

Erick said that there are a number of small groups who deliberately deal with conflicts to divide the nation. He also invited the public to interpret the COVID-19 pandemic as a test from Allah SWT, and behind it all there is wisdom and learning so that the Indonesian nation is stronger and independent.

Today, Friday 19 November, the former Inter Milan boss uploaded a touching message on his personal Instagram account. Erick wrote that he worked for Indonesia to be a blessing to all people in the country.

"My heart is tied here, this work is only for Indonesia. Bismillah, hopefully what is done today will be a blessing for all," wrote Erick on his personal Instagram account @erickthohir.

Previously, Erick emphasized that the government had carried out its maximum strategy for handling the pandemic. In fact, said Erick, the results were quite effective in dealing with the health crisis that hit the country.

"This has been recognized internationally for the handling of COVID-19 so far and the delta variant which is very, very heavy," he said.
