Targets Managed Funds To Grow 15 Percent In 2022, This Is The Main Focus Of Danareksa Investment Management

JAKARTA - PT Danareksa Investment Management (DIM) in 2022 targets a 15 percent growth in Managed Funds. As of the third quarter of 2021, DIM's total Assets Under Management have reached IDR 40 trillion.

Several things will be the main focus that will be carried out by DIM in 2022, namely the marketing of open-end mutual fund products by prioritizing the product proposition that is DIM's flagship, research-based decision making to improve the quality of investment management, as well as optimizing retail channels.

In addition, DIM will also continue to prioritize risk management and compliance as one of the main pillars of efforts to maintain the implementation of good corporate governance.

To date, the mutual fund products issued by DIM include Equity Funds, Fixed Income Mutual Funds, Mixed Mutual Funds, Money Market Mutual Funds, and ETF & Index Mutual Funds.

President Director of PT Danareksa Investment Management Marsangap P. Tamba said, managed funds for the mutual fund industry decreased in October 2021 by 3 percent or decreased to IDR 554 trillion.

"Meanwhile, DIM only experienced a decline of 2 percent or slightly better than the decline in the management of the mutual fund industry, with mutual fund AUM of IDR 30 trillion, supported by DIM's market share of 4.8-4.9 percent", said Maxrsangap in a webinar, Tuesday, November 16.

Meanwhile, the Chief Investment Officer of PT Danareksa Investment Management, Herman Tjahjadi, said that with the remaining time until the end of 2021, there are several things that his side will continue to observe.

The first is the increased risk of inflation associated with rising prices of crude oil, CPO, wheat, and coffee. Second, the development of COVID-19 cases in China, which has recently shown signs of increasing in several cities there.

"If there is a lockdown in some of the main ports in China for a few weeks, it will cause the supply chain to become more difficult. Third, we will also continue to monitor the development of COVID-19 in the country. We all really hope that the Indonesian people will continue to maintain their health by implementing good health protocols and not being careless during the holiday periods at the end of 2021," said Herman.
