Rows Of Corruption Cases That Cause The Biggest State Loss

JAKARTA - As many as 75 employees of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) have not passed the National Insight Test (TWK). 51 of them were dismissed. This dismissal is considered by many as a weakening of efforts to eradicate corruption.

Corruption is a latent danger in this country. Gathering various sources, this is a series of corruption cases that caused the biggest state losses.

Jiwasraya Corruption

Jiwasraya's corruption is the case with the highest state losses, with a nominal value of Rp. 13.7 trillion. After passing the investigation period, in December 2019 the Attorney General's Office sentenced five suspects in this case.

They are the President Director of Hanson International Tbk, Benny Tjokrosaputro, the former Finance Director of PT Ansuransi Jiwasraya, Harry Prasetyo, the President Commissioner of PT Trada Alam Minera Tbk, Heru Hidayat, the former President Director of PT Ansuransi Jiwasraya Hendrisman Rahim, and the retired PT Ansuransi Jiwasraya Syahmirwan.

Century Bank Corruption

Century Bank corruption caused state losses of up to IDR 7 trillion. This case ensnared several big names, including Budi Mulya who was sentenced to 15 years in prison.

Pelindo II Corruption

The Financial Supervisory Agency (BPK) announced a report on state losses due to Pelindo II corruption.

The report explained that the loss reached Rp 6 trillion from four PT Pelindo II projects. Former President Director of PT Pelindo RJ Lino is a suspect in this case.

East Kotawaringin Corruption

Next is the corruption case by the East Kotawaringin Regent Supian Hadi. This case caused state losses of Rp. 5.8 trillion.

He is suspected of abusing his authority in issuing mining business permits to PT Fajar Mentaya Abadi, PT Billy Indonesia, and PT Aries Iron Mining from 2010 to 2012.

BLBI corruption

According to the BPK, the state Bank Indonesia Liquidity Assistance (BLBI) case caused losses of up to Rp. 4.8 trillion.

This case involved several names, namely Syafrudin Arsjad Tumenggung and Sjamsul Nursalim.

E-KTP corruption

The eKTP corruption case caused state losses of up to Rp. 2.3 trillion, according to the BPK report.

Big names are involved in this case, starting from the former Chairman of the Indonesian House of Representatives Setya Novanto, Irman Gusman, and Andri Narogong.

Hambalang project corruption

According to BPK's findings, the corruption in the Hambalang Athlete's Wisma project caused the state to lose up to Rp806 billion.

Some of the names of people involved are former Chairperson of the Democratic Party Annas Urbaningrum, former Treasurer of the Democratic Party Muhammad Nazarudin, former Menpora Andi Mallarangeng to Angelina Sondakh.
