MEDAN - North Sumatra Governor (Gubsu) Edy Rahmayadi said there were no areas with level 4 COVID-19 status. However, the public is asked to remain vigilant about the virus.

"With no more areas in North Sumatra with level 4 status, then PPKM (Enforcement of Community Activity Restrictions) level 4 no longer exists," said Governor Edy in Medan, quoted by Antara, Tuesday, October 5.

The governor said, in accordance with the Instruction of the Minister of Home Affairs Number 48 of 2021, in line with the no longer level 4 areas in North Sumatra, then PPKM level 4 also no longer exists.

Although cases of COVID-19 sufferers continue to fall, residents are asked to remain vigilant considering the COVID-19 pandemic is still ongoing.

"The government itself continues to try to overcome the COVID-19 pandemic, among others, by continuing to carry out COVID-29 vaccinations," continued Gubsu Edy.
