NUSANTARA - Head of the Nusantara Capital Authority (OIKN) Basuki Hadimuljono confirmed the Pusaka Flag Raising Force (Paskibraka) at the OIKN office, East Kalimantan, on Friday, August 14. He hopes that all members of the Paskibraka will be given ease and smoothness in carrying out their duties at the August 17 ceremony. The total number of Paskibraka members who will serve is dozens of people plus five reserves.
Meanwhile, the composition of members in 2026 comes from Purna Paskibraka Kutai Kartanegara (Kukar) and Taruna Nusantara High School students. All members who have been confirmed will serve as flag bearers and lowering the Red and White Flag.
"So we are combining this as a collaboration from Taruna Nusantara and from Kukar," he continued.
On that occasion, Basuki said, the preparation for the August 17 ceremony was carried out effectively for five days. According to him, the members did not need a long time because they already had experience waving the red and white flags.
"So it's effective for five days, but they, right, are used to it. So, it doesn't have to be long, just a week, seven days we put it there," he said.
As many as 3,000 participants are being prepared to participate in the series of commemorations of the 81st Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia in the Nusantara Central Government Core Area (KIPP) on Monday, August 17, 2026.
