Wednesday Early Morning, the Office of the Regional Secretary in the Complex of the Governor's Office of Central Kalimantan Was Set on Fire

PALANGKARAYA - The building of the Regional Secretariat (Setda) of the Central Kalimantan Province (Kalteng) at the Central Kalimantan Governor's Office complex, Palangka Raya City, was on fire on Wednesday, August 12, early morning.

The building, which is across from the Al Amanah Mosque, caught fire at around 02.10 WIB. A number of fire brigades, both government-owned and private fire brigades, were immediately deployed to handle the flames.

The Governor of Central Kalimantan Agustiar Sabran who directly reviewed the location of the fire said that the activities of the Kesra Bureau would be temporarily relocated to another place so that government services could continue.

"We will evaluate this. For this bureau, it will definitely be moved temporarily," said Agustiar, quoted from Antara.

During the review, Agustiar was accompanied by the Secretary of the Central Kalimantan Regional Government Linae Victoria Aden, Head of the Kesra Bureau of the Central Kalimantan Regional Government Rus'ansyah, and a number of other officials.

Linae said the building that burned was the office of the Kalteng Setda Kesra Bureau. The government is still waiting for the investigation process to find out the cause of the fire.

"The office that burned was from the Kalteng Setda Kesra Bureau. Of course, from the authorities who will conduct an investigation, now our effort is to put out the fire first," said Linae.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Kalteng Setda Kesra Bureau, Rus'ansyah, said almost all rooms in the building were affected by the fire.

The rooms affected include the head of the bureau, head of the section, head of the sub-section, and the staff room.

"If it burns, almost all the rooms are burned. There is a karo room, a cabin room, a kasubag room and so on. Including all our staff there are divided into rooms," said Rus'ansyah.

He said his party had not been able to confirm the condition of goods and documents inside the building. A new inspection can be carried out after the fire is completely extinguished and the inspection process by the police is completed.

"We don't know what items can be saved. Later, after the fire is extinguished and the police investigation is completed, we can see the condition," he said.

Rus'ansyah also did not know for sure the starting point of the fire. He admitted that he had only arrived at the location after the fire had occurred.

Based on monitoring around 04.25 WIB, the fire has been successfully extinguished. However, firefighters are still at the location to ensure that the condition is completely safe and there are no points of fire that have re-ignited.

The Central Kalimantan Provincial Government will then evaluate the condition of the building and prepare a temporary location for the Kesra Office so that the government's service and administrative activities can continue to run.
