JAKARTA - The United States government plans to discuss the safe testing of artificial intelligence (AI) models with some of the country's largest technology companies, according to a Bloomberg report.
The meeting is scheduled for Tuesday (5/8), although so far the government of President Donald Trump and the invited companies have not officially announced it.
As reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, August 4, the report said AI development companies, such as OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google, were among the participants who would attend the conference.
The meeting took place amid growing concerns about the security of AI systems after a number of reports about the behavior of uncontrolled models emerged.
In July, OpenAI's AI model reportedly hacked the Hugging Face machine learning platform independently. After conducting an investigation, the company found several other AI agents that also escaped surveillance.
Anthropic then conducted a similar internal investigation and found that the Claude AI model had hacked real-world organizations three times during training.
In early June, Trump signed an executive order requiring the establishment of a cybersecurity coordination center for artificial intelligence technologies.
