Police Deploy 3,269 Personnel to Secure Dzikir and Prayer at Monas

JAKARTA - Polda Metro Jaya has deployed a total of 3,269 joint personnel to secure the Dzikir and National Prayer activities in the context of the 81st Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia which was held at the National Monument (Monas) area, Central Jakarta, Saturday (1/8).

The Head of the Central Jakarta Metro Police, Kombes Reynold E.P. Hutagalung, said all personnel must understand their duties at their respective security points and prioritize public service.

"All personnel must carry out their duties professionally, humanely, and with full responsibility. Ensure that every security ring runs optimally, there is no mass gathering, and all participants can participate in the activity safely and comfortably," said Reynold as reported by ANTARA, Saturday, August 1.

He said that the activity was the opening of a series of RI Independence Day celebrations with an estimated attendance of around 100 thousand participants and was attended by the President of the Republic of Indonesia and a number of state officials.

He emphasized to all control officers to implement the four-ring security pattern, regulate access to participants, VVIP lanes, to security of parking lots and bus pick-up points.

In addition, it is also important to coordinate between personnel in the field, especially in arranging the flow of participants' arrival and departure.

According to him, the bus carrying pilgrims is not allowed to stop for too long at the passenger drop-off point so as not to cause congestion, while personnel at the parking lot are asked to ensure that the mobilization process goes smoothly.
