Maruarar Says 30-hectare Grant in Meikarta Ready for 141,000 Housing Units

BATANG - Minister of Housing and Spatial Planning Maruarar Sirait said that the 30-hectare land grant in the Meikarta area, Bekasi Regency, is ready to be used for the construction of 141,000 apartments.

The statement was made by Maruarar or Ara at the Mass Akad 62,000 Units of Subsidized House KPR and Rp880 billion Housing KUR in Batang Regency, Central Java, Thursday, July 30, 2026.

Ara said the grant was given by Mochtar Riady. At the event, he also greeted James Riady who was present.

"Today I have to say, this is a cooperation between the Ministry of Housing and TAPERA," said Ara, before announcing the grant for people's housing.

According to Ara, the grant is one of the largest grants for the people's housing sector.

"I think it is the largest grant, Pak, for people's housing," he said.

He said the process of granting 30 hectares had been assisted by the Ministry of Finance. The ATR/BPN Ministry, which was led by Nusron Wahid, was also said to work quickly until the process was completed in a few days.

"30 hectares have been assisted by the Ministry of Finance yesterday and also Mr. Nusron ATR/BPN worked quickly," said Ara.

Ara said the land was ready to be used. He said Danantara and SOEs would build and finance 141,000 apartments in Meikarta, Bekasi Regency.

"This means that Doni and BUMN are ready to build and finance 141,000 apartment units in Meikarta, Bekasi Regency," he said.

Ara did not specify the schedule for the construction of the apartment building in the transcript of the speech. However, he emphasized that the land grant process had been completed and the program could be implemented.

This program emerged in the midst of the government's agenda to accelerate the provision of houses, including through mass mortgage agreements, housing KUR, TAPERA, developers, and banks.
