JAKARTA - SAE Indonesia will again present a student final work exhibition entitled "THE CONTINUUM: The Creative Evolution in Motion" which will take place from July 29 to August 2, 2026 at the SAE Indonesia Campus, Pejaten, South Jakarta.
This year, as many as 48 students will introduce 25 final project works from the Film Production, Audio Production, 3D Animation & Visual Effects, and Creative & Entertainment Business programs. Not only as a space to showcase student learning results, THE CONTINUUM is designed as a meeting point between new creative talents and industry players.
Through this exhibition, industry professionals, creative studios, production houses, agencies, communities, media, and potential collaborators can see the potential of young creators who are preparing their first steps in the professional world.
The official opening of THE CONTINUUM will be held on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, and will be attended by creative industry players, media, alumni, industry partners, lecturers, and SAE Indonesia academicians. The exhibition is then open to the public from July 29 to August 2, 2026, every day from 11.00-18.00 WIB.
During the five days of the event, visitors can enjoy exhibitions of student works, film and animation screenings, interactive audio installations, industry workshops, sharing sessions, and the opportunity to have direct dialogue with exhibitors about the process behind their works.
Creativity as a Journey that Continues to Move
The theme of THE CONTINUUM continues the creative narrative journey that SAE Indonesia has built over the past four years. The journey of the exhibition begins through The Emergence in 2023 which represents the birth of creative potential, followed by The Opportune in 2024 about the courage to seize opportunities, as well as The Resonance in 2025 which describes how a work can create an impact and build a culture.
Now, THE CONTINUUM is the next chapter that confirms that creativity does not stop after a work is completed or formal education ends. Creativity is a process that continues to move, develop, and evolve as the experience of a creator.
"THE CONTINUUM is not only a final study exhibition, but also a transition space for students to enter the professional world. We want industry players to not only see the end result, but also find the potential of creators behind each project - young talents who are always learning, collaborating, adapting, and continuing to grow," said Emenk, Exhibition Coordinator THE CONTINUUM.
The philosophy is also translated through the visual identity of THE CONTINUUM which uses three-dimensional ball elements that continue to move to represent a dynamic creative journey, sustainable growth, and the belief that each work is part of a process that never really ends. motion moves into the space to invite everyone to enter their creative world.
From Animated Films to Immersive Audio Technology
The works featured in THE CONTINUUM showcase the diversity of SAE Indonesia students' creative disciplines by combining storytelling, technology, innovation, and cross-media exploration. From the 3D Animation & Visual Effects program, one of the works featured is Sky & Soul: Echoes of Eternity, a 3D animated short film that follows the journey of two robots in the midst of a post-civilization desert.
Through a cinematic visual approach and emotional narrative, the work explores the themes of hope, friendship, and the continuation of life in a world that is slowly disappearing.
The exploration of technology from the Audio Production program is presented through Interactive Audiovisual Installation, an interactive art installation that combines TouchDesigner, L-ISA Immersive Sound, and Ableton Live. The installation creates an audiovisual experience that can respond to the presence and interaction of visitors directly.
The Audio Production student also presented the Audio Reactive Lighting System, a project that shows how audio signals from a digital mixer can be analyzed in real-time to control the lighting system of a performance. This project offers an approach to audio and lighting synchronization in modern performance production.
Meanwhile, from the Creative & Entertainment Business program, students presented the Multysensory project which explores aroma as a form of merchandise as well as new intellectual property in the music industry. This concept offers a way for musicians and brands to build emotional relationships with audiences through multisensory experiences.
Visitors can also watch a number of short films by Film Production students, including: ● Happiest Day ● The Right Way ● The Last Supper ● Ripple
The filmmakers will be present to share stories about the process of developing ideas, production, to creative challenges behind the works.
SAE Indonesia Open Day on 1 August 2026
As part of the THE CONTINUUM series, SAE Indonesia will hold an Open Day on Saturday, August 1, 2026 for high school/vocational school students, prospective students, and families. This activity includes a campus tour, seminar and introduction of study programs, as well as registration consultations to provide a closer insight into the learning experience and career opportunities in the creative industry.
"We hope that the exhibitors will continue to be inspired to work and that the industry players present can see the potential of the creators behind it. THE CONTINUUM is an opportunity for students to gain exposure, build professional networks, and open up opportunities for collaboration after they graduate. At the same time, through Open Day, prospective students can also get to know the environment and learning process at SAE Indonesia more closely," concluded Emenk.
For students, THE CONTINUUM is the beginning of their professional journey. For the industry, this exhibition is an opportunity to find new creative talents and open up opportunities for collaboration, mentoring, internships, and recruitment. Meanwhile, for the general public, THE CONTINUUM is a space to see the development of ideas, technology, and the creativity of the next generation.
