LRT Jabodebek Changes Stations into Public Spaces: Music on Track Presents a New Experience for Users

JAKARTA - Jabodebek LRT continues to develop services by transforming stations not only as a place to get on and off passengers, but also as a comfortable, lively public space, and providing added value for the community. This effort is part of developing the user experience (customer experience) so that traveling using public transportation becomes more enjoyable without reducing the main focus on safety, security, and operational reliability.

This transformation is becoming increasingly relevant as the public's interest in using the Jabodebek LRT increases. Until semester 1 of 2026, the Cawang LRT Jabodebek Station has served 1,470,895 users, or an increase of 248,943 users, an increase of around 21 percent compared to the same period last year. This shows that the station is now becoming a space that is increasingly used by the community every day.

As one of the implementations of this transformation, LRT Jabodebek presents the "Vok Pop: Music on Track" activity at the Cawang LRT Station on Saturday (25/7). Through this activity, users can enjoy live music performances without additional charge, both while waiting for the arrival of the train and after completing the journey.

The activity which took place from 15.30 WIB to 17.30 WIB featured the performances of Alvin Lapian, Grace Kaitlin, Martin Wiguna, Canti, Calvin Jeremy, and William Sihimbing. In addition to enjoying the music show, users can also participate in various interactive activities and get exclusive souvenirs and free drinks provided during the event.

Manager of Public Relations of the Jabodebek LRT, Radhitya Mardika, said that the development of public transportation today is not only measured by punctuality and operational reliability, but also by the quality of the experience felt by users while in the station area.

"We want to change the perception that stations are just a place to come, wait, and then leave. In the future, we want stations to be part of a comfortable urban public space to interact, enjoy various positive activities, while still supporting people's mobility. Music on Track is one step to realize that experience."

According to him, the development of public spaces in the station area is part of the LRT Jabodebek's efforts to provide services that are closer to the needs of urban communities. As the culture of using public transportation develops, users not only need safe and timely travel, but also a comfortable environment and a positive experience.

"Public transportation is no longer just about moving from one point to another. The experience while at the station is also an important part of the quality of service. When people feel comfortable using public transportation, we hope more people will make it their daily mobility choice."
