JAKARTA - The Criminal Investigation Unit (Satreskrim) of the South Tangerang Police arrested four suspects in a murder case against an TNI AD personnel on Jalan Raya Pondok Hijau Golf, Kelapa Dua District, Tangerang Regency, Banten on Sunday (19/7).

"The four suspects with initials BR, RRGB, MKN, and H who allegedly committed violence against the victim were successfully secured at a location not far from the crime scene," said South Tangerang Metro Police Chief, AKBP Boy Jumalolo, as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, July 21.

Boy explained that the arrest of the perpetrators was carried out after the police received a report and conducted an integrated investigation.

"This case started with the discovery of the body of a man lying on the side of the road, specifically in front of the Cluster Turquoise roundabout, Curug Sangereng Village, Kelapa Dua, on Sunday (19/7) at around 05.45 WIB," he said.

Boy explained that the victim, identified by the initials ABS, was known to be a member of the Indonesian Army.

"Based on the results of the initial crime scene investigation by the inafis team and investigators, the victim was declared dead due to a number of serious injuries caused by a sharp object," said Boy.

Following up on the findings, the joint team moved quickly to collect witness statements, secure evidence at the crime scene, and track the whereabouts of the perpetrators until they were finally able to arrest the four of them.

"Currently, the four suspects have been secured at the South Tangerang Police. The police are still conducting intensive examinations and in-depth investigations to uncover the motive and the complete chronology of the incident," he said.
